  1. People think that freedom means they can do anything now. You can't do anything. You just have your rights

  3. Freedom, in philosophical terms, has been translated from the 1700s: "the will to do and believe whatever one feels is right," to a post-modernist view of: "whatever it is you believe, you are right." I see it as contradictory.

  5. Freedom today is taken advantage of all the time. People think that if they have freedom then they have no rules, which isn't true.

  7. There is a lot more freedom for some people than before. People in America take advantage of their freedom. Some places still have issues with freedom especailly religion.

  8. Freedom now is viewed differently by each person. So someone can think they have freedom so they don't follow rules, when some people think they have freedom and still follow rules.

  18. Freedom is being able to do what you want. It has so many advantages. I agree with kaitlyn that its a privilage and shouldnt be abused. Freedom now adays are completely different then they were in the 1700s.

  19. I agree with Abbey's statement: "Freedom is much more flexible now than in the 1700s." The way laws are passed and rights are made allows so much more to happen in society.

  20. I agree with stephen because he is right. People misunderstand the word "Freedom" and so they think that they can do just whatever they want even though they really cant. Freedom is having rights and doing what you want but still haveing to follow all the rules and laws that aply to the situation

  22. In the 1700s people thought of freedom as having your rights and excercising them. I feel like today people think of freedom as being able to do whatever they want whenever they want.

  24. I agree with abby the freedom is allot mnore flexable today, we have so many more liberties then they had in the 1700's. In a way passing rights is good., but it has its cons like getting people who did a bad thing off easier. or not punishing someone for something they should have gotten punished for.
